The Cape Town ENT, sinus and skull base surgery team, headed by Prof Darlene Lubbe and Dr Nicholas Goncalves, specialises in Rhinology. The practice manages and treats all ear, nose and throat conditions and disorders in both children and adults.

Darlene Lubbe is an Associate Professor and Head of Unit in the Division of Otolaryngology at Groote Schuur Hospital, University of Cape Town, South Africa. Her main interest is endoscopic sinus, skull base and transorbital surgery. She specialises in complex surgeries and is part of the team that pioneered endoscopic skull base and transorbital surgery in South Africa. She currently runs the Karl Storz training programme in endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery for sub-Saharan Africa.

Nic Goncalves is an ENT specialist who manages and treats all ear, nose and throat conditions in both children and adults. He further specialised in endoscopic sinus, skull base and airway surgery. He completed a Rhinology, Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Fellowship at the University of Cape Town under the directorship of Professor Lubbe. He has a special interest in sinus problems, pituitary surgery, cystic fibrosis, HHT (Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia), transorbital surgery, paediatric nasal conditions, breathing, and snoring problems. Dr Goncalves also consults at the University of Cape Town, Groote Schuur Hospital.
